Welcome to the Future

I saw it on the news the other day, a doctor claimed he'd cloned a case of clams. He crossed a Platypus with a Hippopotamus, and he got a perfect Platypotamus. And then he crossed a soybean with a frog, and grew a human ear on a dog. Although he made a killing selling French fried, jumping beans, the dog turned around and ate the frog. Welcome to the future. One thing is perfectly clear. Welcome to the future, 'cause like it or not, it's here. I heard it on the news the other day, some computers got tangled in a Web. And then they caught a cold, and an Apple got a worm, and some people got blogged in the head. Then this guy you know, forgot who he was, 'cause they took away his identity, They raided his account, and they got the whole amount, then they charged a rather large consulting fee. Welcome to the future. One thing is perfectly clear. Welcome to the future, 'cause like it or not, it's here. I read it in the news the other day, that a camera took some pictures out in Space. They were looking for Sars on the planet Mars, but instead they found a rock with a face. And a guy stuck a Pod in his eye, just so he could listen to a song, and watch it on a screen about the size of a bean, and the song was from the movie, King Kong. Welcome to the future. One thing is perfectly clear. Welcome to the future, 'cause like it or not, it's here.

Don't kill don't maim, or play video games. They'll make you lose your soul. Don't take that pill, give youself a thrill, Just play a bit of Rock and Roll. Don't drink too much, don't think too much, don't blink too much don't shrink too much. If you don't know, then I'm not gonna tell ya. If you don't know, then I'm not gonna tell ya. Take my advice, because I'm not using it. Take my advice, because I'm, not using it. Forget about Hip Hop, and everything you know. Forget about Eminem he really really blows. I wouldn't spend a dime for a hit of Fiddy Cent. I wouldn't waste my time wondering where the music went. If you don't know, then I'm not gonna tell ya. If you don't know, then I'm not gonna tell ya. Take my advice, because I'm not using it. Take my advice, because I'm, not using it. The lying liars and the lies they tell, Give me one good reason they won't go to Hell. The lying liars on the TV station, If God is on your side he must be on vacation. If you don't know, then I'm not gonna tell ya. If you don't know, then I'm not gonna tell ya. Don't change my mind, because I'm not through with it. Take my advice, because I'm, not using it.

I'm a travelin' man. I like to get around. I'm on the road again, comin' to your town. I wanna go someplace, where I've never been, gonna see some faces, I've never seen. I'm a travelin' man. I'm a travelin' man. When I get there, gonna party down, and then move on, to another town. I might take a train, I might take a plane, I might have to walk, but I'll get there just the same. I'm a travelin' man. I'm a travelin' man. I'm going way to fast, I'm going way to fast, If I'm gonna last, think I better slow down. I'm going way to slow, I'm going way to slow, If I'm gonna make it to town, think I better go. I'm a travelin' man. I'm a travelin' man.

The money comes in, and the money goes out. I once knew a Cylon He was, always smilin' at me. He didn't need money All he needed was a fresh battery. Money comes in, and the money goes out. I logged into Ebay, and sold out my soul, Got fifty bucks to add to my bank roll. Thank God for Paypal, thank Jesus for cash The computer went blue screen, it was gone in a flash. The money comes in, and the money goes out. I have a friend who has, lot's of dough. I once asked him, where does the money go. He said to me, Dee, what it is all about, The money comes in, and then the money, he said the money, the money goes out. The money comes in, and the money goes out. I told my accountant, that I just made a mountain, what a thrill. When the taxman was finished, My mountain looked more like a, mole hill. The money comes in, and the money goes out.

Wicked 04:43
Something bad is coming, that everyone will like. Sometimes you just gotta do what's wrong, but feels so right. Pass me the car keys, 'cause I'm going out tonight, Something evil this way comes, and it just might start a fight. I'm feelin' wicked. Wicked. I'm so wicked, See what you're doin' to me. She was a spy for the CIA, he was a spy for Scotland Yard. They made a pact with the Devil, it wasn't right but it wasn't hard. It all played out in sweet slow motion, like a Jon Woo movie. It ended up in complete destruction, saw the whole thing on TV. They were feelin' wicked. Wicked. I'm so wicked, See what you're doin' to me. He played guitar for the band, but he finally took his leave. When I first heard him play that thing, it was, driftin' on the breeze. I can still hear the sound, as if it was yesterday. As if he was still around, because man, that boy could play. He was wicked. Wicked. You're so wicked. See what your doin' to me. Wicked. You're so wicked. See what your doin' to me.

Up this morning, cuz I heard myself snoring. Mind is clear but the skies are gray. Rain is hissing, and we're listening, Yesterday's thoughts just drifting away. Think we might just take a little time. A drop of autumn, to wash away the grime. Mr. Bradley, she loves you madly, and would gladly take you for a ride Come and join us, just don't annoy us, take a walk on the mild side. Every day now it seems to get a little cooler. Nobody wants to be the one made a fool of. What a funny thing to say? It's a, do nothing day. Thought I heard you say? It's a, do nothing day. Do nothing day. Mrs. Bradley, he loves you madly, and is glad that you are by his side. Dear Sydney, glad that you are with me, although it may be a wild ride. Every year now I seem to get a little slower. Lazy day is a beautiful way to make time stand still. What a funny thing to say? It's a, do nothing day. Thought I heard you say? It's a, do nothing day. Do nothing day. Every hour it seems to get a little easier. And today is a beautiful way for me to please her. What a funny thing to say? It's a, do nothing day. Thought I heard you say? We could do something but let's do nothing. Do nothing day.

I like to eat, and so do you. I like to cook, my own food. 'cause then, I know, I know what's in it, let's throw a pot on the stove and begin it. No Canola, no GMOs, that is just the way it goes. Want no Monsanto, in my pantry, So take your seeds and stick them up your nose. Holy cannoli, is that ravioli? Rice is nice, but we like pasta. Hey Betty let's make spaghetti, Rice is nice, but pasta's faster. Pasta's faster. I like grapes, and I like spinach, and I'm bananas, about bananas, Tomato sauce with tomatoes in it, ya' wanna put it on ya' mama's lasagna. Now's it's time to go organic, I need a chef, not a mechanic. Don't need no chicken that's got the flu, I want to live, and so do you! Brown rice, green veggies, Have a friend, he's almost dead he's having burgers, with the King, and trans fat onion rings. Whole wheat pasta, make it last a, long time when you savour it, depending how you flavour it, just take your time and make it, eat it. Just eat it.

Eastern Girl 05:03
She drives an SUV with endangered species floor mats, talkin' on her sidekick while the light is red. She never goes anywhere without three or four cats, and a tiny little dog, with a big head. She's a Western girl. And her daddy owns the World. She's a down home, thoroughly spoiled, Western girl. He drives a pickup truck with a Hemi under the hood, He likes his double big Mac, with the super sized fries. He'll go anywhere his four by four can go, With a trail of mess and muck, and mud cow pies. He's a Western boy. And his daddy owns the factory. He's a trouble makin', thoroughly spoiled, Western boy. When will we understand, spread light across the waters. If those who have too much, and those who have to little, could meet in the middle, it's not too much to ask. Or is it? He's a soldier with his life on the line, in his heart he'd truly love to come home. But his leaders need the power and the oil, To fuel their SUVs and trucks and cell phones. He's a Western boy. And his country took his life. He's a wrong place at the wrong time, Western boy. She's a mother of 6 and she sits in a tent in the dark, praying for the day when she'll see her husband again. It's snowing outside and there's no wood for the fire. She thinks back to the day when she lost her friends. She's an, Eastern girl. And her daddy used to own a cow. She's an unknown and forgotten, Eastern girl. She's an, Eastern girl. But she doesn't have to stay, an unknown and forgotten, Eastern girl.

Get Along 04:04
Ain't it hard to understand, how the World is filled with special people. So many thoughtful souls, so many ways to feel. Your Father and your Mother, your Sister and your Brother, The Goddess and the Gods, always seem to be at odds. Open up your mind, Try to right the wrong, I'll sing it in this song, Can't we all just, get along? In our time we've seen it all. From the happy to the sad. The sorrow and the pain. The wind and the hurricane. The silence and the sound, the wealthy and the poor, the lawyers and the laws, always seem to be at odds. Hear it in your mind, See it in your soul, I'll sing it in this song, Can't we all just, get along? Don't try to tell me what to think. Stop tryin' to change my mind. If we can just get along with each other, It's all gonna work out fine. In my time I've seen it all, from the weak to the strong. The sorrow and the pain, Can't we all just get along?

Ramifications, goin' through my mind. Ain't got the patience now, to hang around, and wait until tonight. I just want to take you, wanna take you home, I wanna be with you, I wanna stay with you, I wanna make you mine. I'd like to kiss your mind, and make it better. If you could read my tears, I could hear your soul, and maybe you could hear mine. If I could see your sound, and feel your thoughts, There'd be no better time, I think the ramifications, would be just fine. Ramifications, of our love. Yours and mine, for all time, it will be sublime. I'd like to kiss your mind, and make it smile. I'd like to climb inside, just for a little while, Ramifications of love. Ramifications of, love. Ramifications, goin' through my mind. Ain't got the patience now, to hang around, and wait until tonight. I just want to take you, wanna take you home, I wanna be with you, I wanna stay with you, I wanna make you mine. I'd like to kiss your mind, and make it better. If you could read my tears, I could hear your soul, Ramifications of love.
11.
When I close my eyes, leave my worries behind. I can see forever, to the depths of my mind. Where the weak are strong, and fear is gone. Things are, just what they mean, Anything can happen, in a dream. Anything can happen, in a dream. I can be with you, though you're far away. Be with you forever, ever and a day. Where the sounds are silent, softly fade away. I know just what you mean, Anything can happen in a dream. Anything can happen in a dream. No more hunger, pleasure without pain. No starvation, in the pouring rain. Where truth stands tall, Where no bombs fall, And all say what they mean, anything can happen, in a dream.

You 04:56
My life is full of people, some imagined, some real. In my dreams, they are all the same to me. Don't need to find a teacher, just to tell me how I feel. All I really need to know, is you. The sky is full of people, some imagined, some real. Flying ships and astral planes, they're all insane. Some may need to fasten their seatbelts, some may need to know the time, All I really need to know, is you. Through the years I must have known a million faces. And I've let so many slip away. There are some I will remember, some will fall into the spaces, The day I met you, still seems like yesterday. My dreams are filled with people, more imagined then real. I see their faces, but might not know their names. When I wake up, for a moment, everything I know is wrong. But all I really need to know, is you. Through the years I must have known a million faces. And I've let so many slip away. There are some I will remember, some will fall into the spaces, The day I met you, still seems like yesterday.

Objects in motion tend to, stay in motion. You're the object of my emotion. For every action there's an, equal reaction. I'm just, tryin' to get a reaction. (outta you!) You've got the answer and I've got the question, I'm just headed in your direction. Better get ready 'cause I'm, rock steady, and I'm, gonna make a connection. Rootin' tootin', Sir Isaac Newton, I'm thinkin' he knew what he was, talkin' 'bout. Don't obey the laws of thermal dynamics, I'm as hot as a nuclear reaction. Got every reason to believe you're believin', got a strange gravitational attraction. I'd like to get quantum physical with you, 'cause Einstein knew what I'm talkin' 'bout. He said, When I saw you from across the room, I pulled out my Hubble and cranked up the zoom. Until I exceed the speed of light, I remain in need of a sub orbital flight. Don't obey the laws of Time and Space, we're so gonna rock this place. Got the need to take a sub-space trip, I'm gonna land on your landing strip, I'd like to get phantom quizzical with you, until we're indivisible, talkin' 'bout. Objects in motion tend to, stay in motion. You're the object of my emotion. For every action there's an, equal reaction. I'm just, tryin' to get a reaction.

Movies 04:21
I love it but I know I shouldn't, Tried to stop, but you know I couldn't. I drink champagne when I win, I drink champagne when I lose. Why do people worry about stuff. Everything's gonna be alright. When the credits roll, we'll all be smilin' Everything's gonna work out like in the movies. I sometimes smile when I'm sad, I sometimes cry when I'm happy. I sometimes win when I'm bad, I often wish I'd done it better. Why do people worry about stuff. Everything's gonna be alright. When the curtains fall, we'll all be home. Everything's gonna work out like in the movies. When all is said, when all is done. when the music's over and the lights go on, You and I, will be together, for ever, forever. If I want to be right and I'm wrong, If I want to be liked but I'm lost, I drink champagne when I win, (to celebrate) I drink champagne when I lose, (to console myself). Why do people worry about stuff. Everything's gonna be alright. When the credits roll, we'll all be smilin' Everything's gonna work out like in the movies. Like a cheesy Hollywood movie. Like a Bruce Willis movie.
